about

Drama Section was a band, in some form, for 8 years from 2010-2018. This is a belated "last" release, marooned by shifting coastal residences and finally parent-trapped onto the internet during a Delaware beach weekend reunion.

This is, more than anything, a monument to musical growing pains, figuring out what four different people like to do and how they like to do it. Most of that played out in meatspace, band dinner debates and whatnot. The rest can be heard here, and on the first record, "I'll Have What I'm Having." We still debate, but when we get together it seems we might rather play cards or watch Friends *shruggy guy emoji*. Crucially, Cory lives in California. Life is occasionally cruel but it is usually fine so we will manage this turn of events.

In the event that Nate later has triplets, he has promised to name them Cory, Duncan, and Steve. The others haven't yet made the equivalent promise but there's still time. Are you picking up what we're putting down?

This is all to contextualize the music but maybe that's not necessary. It still seems really unlikely that more music doesn't come along at a later juncture, so no grand sign off is required here. Nonetheless it seems appropriate to say: things ARE great right now, and they usually are when skronking is afoot. We sincerely hope that comes across.

Shouts out to Big Tony and bigger shouts out to Hintz.
Thank you to Gabe + Jor for rehearsal patience.
Bonus track included in full album download, for the true ones.

Love you,
Drama Section
